The Friends of Watsonville Parks and Community Services and the Rotary Club of Freedom are working together to coordinate the annual Strawberry Jam 1K and 5K Fun Run and Walk being held in conjunction with the Watsonville Strawberry Festival on Saturday, Aug 3, beginning and ending at our new temporary location (while Ramsay park is being renovated) at Landmark Elementary School in Watsonville. There is some repeat of the course for the 5K run. Steps Blelow.
Proceeds from this event will support the enhancement of Watsonville parks and recreation programs. Freedom Rotary will use the proceeds to invest in Flodberg Park in Watsonville.
All paid pre-reg will receive strawberry-themed socks. There may be socks available for day of race registration.
PRE REG ENDS 10 am 8/1. On Site Registration Resumes on Race Day.
ROUTE:
- Start at Landmark Elementary
- Left on Ohlone Parkway
- Left onto slough trail after Santa Catalina and before the bridge
- Run around the loop back to Ohlone Parkway
- Right on Ohlone Parkway
- Right onto slough trail before Landmark Elementary
- Turn around at designated location
- Left on Ohlone Parkway
- Repeat the same loop
- End back at Landmark Elementary
