Practical Pistol Skills & Application is designed for anyone looking to improve their performance with the fundamentals of shooting a handgun for self defense. If you do not feel confident with your ability to shoot well, tend to have groups not centered on your target, not confident with your gun handling skills, or just want to brush up on your accuracy, this course is for you. The techniques and skills taught in this course are based off how the body responds to a deadly force attack. What I teach you will increase your ability to defend yourself with a handgun during a deadly force attack. We take the traditional fundamentals of shooting and work them in a manner consistent with how the body works in a deadly force encounter. Each client will get individual help from the shooting coach. We will refine your techniques or help you figure out what is causing you to not be accurate. Once you know why, then you can work on fixing the deficiencies we found. The focus of this course is learning how each fundamental and skill is applied to self defense. What will you learn in this class: - use of fundamentals for traditional shooting - use of the fundamentals for self-defense application - emergency reloads - proper draw technique and re-holstered technique - type 1 malfunction clearance This course is conducted on an outdoor range. Be prepared for the weather. Required Gear: - Handgun - 4 Magazines or speed loaders, if your magazines hold less than 10 please - 250 rounds of ammunition - Holster: Belt slide, AIWB, IWB, or paddle holster - strong side only. - Magazine carrier. - Ear protection - electronic preferred. - Eye protection. - Note taking material. - A positive attitude. - Closed toe shoes. - Clothing appropriate for the weather. - Sun Screen - Water Optional: - Chair - speed loader Please contact me if you need any gear.
