About this event
Join us to learn all about the thingamabob, whatchamacallit, doodad, thingamajig, and whatnots in the doctor’s office! Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring “doc” or bio-medical engineer. Learn the names and how to use medical instruments, give a shot, suture a banana, discover bacteria and explore germ theory, examine pathology slides under a microscope, make squishy brains and learn about mental well-being. Build a lung model, discover how food travels through body with a hands-on model of the digestive tract, and learn the structures of the heart and blood clots as you dissect a sheep’s heart. Investigate the structures, physiology, and variations of human anatomy and discover how our bodies act as a furnace, a filter, and a fancy computer!
